Surrey RCMP now say a 17-year-old youth suffering from life threatening injuries was transported to hospital and has succumbed to his injuries.
“The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Surrey RCMP,” says Cpl. Vanessa Munn.
“Initial information suggests that this was a targeted and isolated incident.”
Investigators say there are no indications that this incident is in any way to another bus stabbing that occurred in Surrey on April 1st. The incident on April 1st sent one man to hospital after being slashed across the throat with a knife.
