About: Diwali Fest is gearing up for their massive 20th anniversary with Indian wedding-themed events planned across Metro Vancouver in October and November. The Indian wedding-themed Diwali festivities kick off with a Mehendi night on October 26 at the Vancouver Public Library. From 6pm to 8pm, don your favourite green or purple coloured attire and come out for henna and vibrant music and dance performances. The event will also have a children’s art zone, festive treats and plenty of chai.

Haunted at Maan Farms

About: Slaughterhouse, the “scariest corn maze in Canada” is back with “twisted farmhands and grotesque creatures” eagerly waiting to scare you out of your shoes. Homestead,  an “immersive, limited entry, full contact haunted experience” and Way Down, Maan Farm’s hooded attraction are also back to scare you out of your boots.

Vancouver Canadian Immigrant Fair

About: The Canadian Immigrant Fair is a free, one-stop event connecting newcomers with information and inspiration on the three pillars of immigrant success: CAREERS. EDUCATION. SETTLEMENT. The fair offers a dynamic environment for immigrants who need help as they look for jobs, go back to school and settle into their new home.

Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors

About: For 2023, Cougar Creek will be rolling out a new blindfolded blackout maze attraction called Sinneraria. Guests will blindfolded and tasked with navigating through complete darkness while only having a single rope to hold onto. You never know what terrifying creature or thing might brush against you…

Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors will also have three other haunted houses. Echoes of Abbath will have you “follow the echoes of the ancient drums through the bowels of the dark underworld”.

About: There’s a special 1.5 km lantern lit trail awaiting you in Surrey this October. Light Up the Night is happening at Tynehead Regional Park on Friday, October 27th. Meander through this peaceful salmon rainforest while watching for “magical” animal lanterns. This small intimate experience will give you time to reflect and take in the beauty of nature at night.

Chilliwack Corn Maze

About: This year’s design itself is simple, but what it symbolizes is a celebration of the relationships and memories that have been made on the farm and in the community over the last 25 years. This year’s design features a barn that sits in a field surrounded by corn and pumpkins with the sun radiating in the background. Leading to the front door of the barn is a winding road.

In addition to the corn maze, the farm also features a pumpkin patch, an obstacle course, tractor rides, fire pits, and so much more!

Fright Nights at Playland

About: The amusement park will once again “transform into a terrifying Halloween-themed experience” with eight haunted houses, 15+ hair-raising rides, creepy décor, roaming monsters and gripping live performances.

This year, Fright Nights will include a NEW haunted house, The Void, where monstrous beasts stalk thick forests of the Pacific Northwest. “Within the lush and beautiful forest are the Howling Caves.
