A suspect has been arrested after a 28-year-old woman was shot in East Vancouver Wednesday night.
Vancouver Police were called to Vernon Drive and East 2nd Avenue after shots were fired just after 7 pm Wednesday evening. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 28-year-old woman with a gunshot wound.

“She was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.”
The suspect, a man in his 50s, left the area after the shooting, but was located and arrested by police near Trout Lake just before 10pm.
The suspect remains in custody and police are still investigating the incident.
