A huge star known around the world spent some time at a local Vancouver waffle bar recently.
Angelina Jolie was spotted at Nero Belgian Waffle Bar on Monday, January 27th. Owner and co-founder Eilnaz Taagholi said having the Maria star stop by was an “extraordinary surprise”.
“Angelina casually came in, accompanied only by her driver, and spent time enjoying our famous authentic Belgian waffles,” said Eilnaz in an email to Anywhere Vancouver
Jolie tried their original Liege waffle with an oat cappuccino.
“She also picked up our popular box of 7 waffles, including our signature custard-filled waffle, an absolute favourite amongst our customers,” added Eilnaz.
Before leaving, the star took a picture with their manager, Farhad, at their South Granville location.

“It was hard to believe that she just strolled in! But there she was, humble, sweet and interested in our waffles and how we make them fresh each morning. Seeing her appreciate what we’re so passionate about was just incredible.”
Nero Waffles currently operates three stores in the West End, Yaletown, and South Granville.
