A section of Yaletown  was behind police tape Friday morning as the Vancouver Police Department responded to an “attempted arson”.

Police say the incident occurred in the area of Hamilton and Davie Streets.

“Information is limited right now as we are still actively investigating,” said Cst. Tania Visintin in an email to Anywhere Vancouver.

“No arrests have been made and there are no reported injuries at this time.”

Less than two weeks ago, gunfire erupted in the same area of Friday’s attempted arson incident. Investigators were seen focusing on Isabelle’s Bar and Lounge, located at 1141 Hamilton Street. Other businesses in the area include Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill and Brix & Mortar.

Police did not say if the two incidents are connected.
