This past weekend, the 2023 BC Halal Food Fest took over Holland Park in Surrey for a two-day event full of delicious bites and exciting activities.

Organizers say 40,000+ people attended this year’s event, which featured 40+ halal food vendors from across BC.

“Our event placed a spotlight on Halal food and the demand for it in BC,” says the organizers in an Instagram post.

Cuisines from Afghanistan, Nigeria, Mexico, France, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, India, and many more were all on display for many eager attendees to taste.

From halal birria tacos to refreshing mango smoothies, the festival had it all!

Organizers are absolutely thrilled with this year’s turnout, which helped showcase local halal food options here in Metro Vancouver.
