The holidays can be tough on many families and one local BC charity is looking to make it a little easier for those here in Vancouver, while supporting refugees overseas. BC4Afghans, a local grassroots nonprofit organization, is launching their third annual toy drive for Afghan refugees.
25% of donations collected will go towards spreading “joy this holiday season by purchasing toys for Afghan Refugee children in Greater Vancouver”.
The remaining 75% of donations will support the nearly 1.7 million Afghans forcefully deported from Pakistan. These donations will be channeled through their trusted partner, Beacon of Hope (BOH), a local Non-Profit Organization and Registered Charity (bohsociety.org).

“For the third consecutive year, we aim to bring smiles to the faces of Afghan refugee children in Greater Vancouver through our toy drive. For many refugees, holidays can be an isolating time, away from home and loved ones,” reads their GoFundMe page.
Last year, over 100 families received gifts and for 2023, their goal is to purchase 200+ toys for Afghan refugee children here in Vancouver.
BC4Afghans hopes to raise over $10,000 for this year’s toy drive.
