Another week is in the books and for students across the Lower Mainland, spring break officially kicks off next week!

Spring break runs from Monday, March 17th to Friday, March 28th, and with this time off from school, BC’s fastest-growing municipality has so much going on!

We’re of course talking about Surrey, which is home to numerous golf courses and parks, trails, cultural festivals, captivating attractions, delicious food options, and much more!

Museum of Surrey

With admission by donation, the Museum of Surrey celebrates Surrey’s past, present and future through dynamic learning, storytelling, and experiences.

Exhibits are offered throughout the year that focus on the people of Surrey, community partners, current affairs and fun, and interactive learning. The museum includes a feature gallery, the Explore Zone with a new twisty kids slide, Indigenous Hall, Textile Centre, and Surrey Stories Gallery. Additionally, this family-friendly museum has three heritage buildings onsite.

Central City Fun Park

This is for those looking for some serious fun! Central City Fun Park is Metro Vancouver’s largest indoor amusement park. Activities such as mini-golf, roller skating, bowling, VR, classic arcade games and a full-sized carousel make this perfect for a family night out.

After their latest expansion, Central City Fun Park now boasts 100,000 sq. ft. of space, which is among the largest indoor facilities in Canada.

Redwood Park and Fairy Forest

With the days getting longer and longer, a stroll through Redwood Park will show you everything that makes our local nature so special. This hidden gem tucked away in South Surrey has 50 different species of trees.

Nestled in the park is a fairy garden bursting with colour and magic! Check out the hundreds of beautifully decorated fairy houses as you hike the forested trails, and pack a picnic for this one-of-a-kind experience.

Honeybee Centre

After a visit here, you will “bee” informed on all matters of bees and honey. Honeybee Centre houses a a beekeeping farm and a honey production site.

Visitors can take a Honey Extraction Workshop, learn about how honey is made and how it gets from the hive to the jar, while tasting raw honey from the frame. No matter your age, you will want to watch as honey from the local Community Bee Garden hives is uncapped by hand and extracted from the comb.
