We’re now halfway through October, aka spooky season, and there’s still time to experience a special Halloween-themed pop-up bar in Vancouver.
Black Lagoon, which is described as an “immersive experience,” has taken over The Butcher and Bullock in downtown Vancouver until Thursday, October 31st.
This year’s Black Lagoon pop-up bar experience is available in Vancouver, Whistler, Edmonton, Montreal, Calgary and Toronto.

Created by Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage, the experience “pays homage to the pulpy and playful elements of the occult, bizarre, macabre and horror” while guests get to enjoy “innovative and delicious spooky cocktails”.
This year’s cocktail list includes the following concotions:
- Hex Appeal – A hunting gin based potion
- Franks Fix – Vodka with a sinister twist
- Siren’s Song – Enigmatic rye blend
- Nightmare Fuel – Tequila that awakens your fears
- Nosferatu’s Rise – A chilling rye concoction
- Memento Mori – Mezcal that lingers

Costumes are heavily encouraged for this creepy-as-hell cocktail experience that’s more like a dark dungeon full of drinks and entertainment.
