One person was sent to hospital earlier this week following a brazen drive-by shooting Coquitlam.
The shooting occurred near Lea Avenue and Dogwood Street in Coquitlam around 9:10am on Monday, February 10th. Responding officers located one adult suffering from gunshot injuries. The victim who was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Subsequent to the incident, a motor vehicle collision ensued with a nearby vehicle, however no significant injuries were sustained,” said Coquitlam RCMP in a release.
Shortly after the shooting, Burnaby RCMP responded to a vehicle fire, and investigators are working closely to determine if the two incidents are related.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.

“This brazen daytime shooting is concerning, and such incidents will not be tolerated in our communities,” said Superintendent Darren Carr, Officer in Charge of Coquitlam RCMP. “We take these reckless acts of violence seriously and we are committed to bringing those responsible before the courts to be held accountable so our communities we serve remain safe.”
Anyone with video footage from the area between 7:30am and 9:30am on February 10th is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP, and quote file number 2025-3451.
