A busy Burnaby intersection has been shut down following a four-vehicle collision in Burnaby.
Burnaby RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision at Lougheed Highway and Production Way around 12:20pm this afternoon.
The collision involved four vehicles and a pedestrian. Some reports suggest that a semi truck was one of the vehicles involved.

“The intersection has been shut down in all directions,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj in a release. “Three vehicle occupants were transported to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.”
The pedestrian involved in the accident has also been transported to the hospital in “serious condition”.
Police are asking people to avoid the area, and are saying that that intersection “will likely be closed into the evening hours”.
