The Vancouver Police Department shared on social media that someone burned the Canucks jerseys on the laughing men statues in English Bay last night.
Police say the jerseys were “burnt overnight”.
“This is disappointing to see, especially when everyone is coming together to cheer on the Canucks and enjoy a positive playoff run,” said Sgt. Steve Addison.
Photos show the extent of the damage.
One jersey was burned on the bottom while a separate one was damaged down the side.
