As Nashville pulled Saros for an extra attacker in a last-ditch effort to tie the game, Joshua seized the opportunity and scored an empty-net goal from beyond center ice, sealing the Canucks’ victory at 4-2. His performance, including two goals and an assist, proved pivotal in securing the win for his team.
In the words of JT Miller, the fans provided a powerful source of motivation for the team.
“When we came out on the ice today, that’s probably one of the more special things I’ve been a part of, other than the birth of my children and my wedding. It’s hard not to get choked up when you see that,” said Miller after the game.
Game 2 takes place at Rogers Arena on Tuesday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7pm.
