A car crashed into a ditch in Richmond late Tuesday evening.

At around 9:15pm, Richmond RCMP responded to the 3100 block of Shell Road for a “suspicious circumstance” involving a vehicle in a ditch.

Police learned that the vehicle had been involved in a collision earlier in the day at Sexsmith Road and Sea Island Way, which required it to be towed.

“Richmond RCMP contacted the tow truck company and learned the vehicle had ended up in the ditch following a mechanical issue with their tow truck,” said police in an email to Anywhere Vancouver.
