Snow and cold temperatures snarled traffic across Metro Vancouver Thursday afternoon.
A number of major routes throughout Metro Vancouver dealt with spun out vehicles and lengthy traffic delays that lasted well into the evening. A massive car pileup on Highway 91 led to massive traffic delays Thursday evening.
Out in Coquitlam, the same was true for drivers who attempted to drive down an icy stretch of road.
A photo shared on Twitter shows 20+ cars sliding downhill and a number of them crashing into one another near Burquitlam Station.
“Look at those skidding cars! It’s madness out there,” reads the tweet.
With more frigid temperatures in store over the next couple of days, local drivers should prepare for more slippery road conditions.
