On Thursday afternoon, Centennial Secondary in Coquitlam was placed in under a “hold and secure order” as police were responding to a “third-party threat report” at the school. The nearby Poirier Sports and Leisure Complex was also issued the same order.

Police say they have identified and located a youth from another jurisdiction, who is believed to be the “source of the threat”.

The order has since been lifted and there is no continued threat to the public or the school.
