Coquitlam RCMP say one person was arrested Wednesday night after “multiple police cars” were hit.
Police received reports of an impaired driver just after 10:30pm last night.
“Police located the vehicle at 11:00 p.m., in a parking lot on Cottonwood Avenue near Whiting Way in Coquitlam, where it immediately drove into two responding police cars,” said Cpl. Corporal Alexa Hodgins, Media Relations Officer for Coquitlam RCMP.
“The vehicle then reversed down an alleyway at a high rate of speed, striking two parked vehicles in the process. Once the vehicle stopped, the driver was arrested by responding officers.”
Two officers suffered minor injuries and the driver was sent to hospital with minor injuries as well.
