Prepare to “spring forward” when Daylight Saving Time returns this weekend

It’s a sign that spring is near, but it’ll cost you some sleep. Daylight Saving Time returns on Sunday, March 12th.

Clocks will “spring forward” one hour at 2am, meaning longer days and shorter nights.

Daylight Saving Time has become increasingly more controversial in recent years. The one-hour time change has been shown to disrupt human circadian rhythms, and has been linked to increased health risks such as depression, obesity and heart attacks.

With this in mind, it’s probably best you go to sleep a little bit earlier Saturday night.
