A downtown Vancouver clothing boutique has once again been targeted by vandals after one of its windows was smashed Monday night.

CityLux Boutique, a women’s clothing store, uploaded a video to their Instagram page that shows two men smashing their front window.

“Please help us find the two men that smashed our window yesterday while we wait for the clear footage to come in.”

This is the second time in less than six months that the downtown Vancouver small business has been targeted by vandals. Back in December of 2022, two women broke CityLux’s glass window.

“I’m hoping someone will recognize either one or both of these two individuals,” says Sunan Spriggs, the owner of CityLux.

CCTV footage from CityLux Boutique show the two men “trying to figure out which one to smash using tools as they’re sitting next to the window”.

“It’s hard to describe just how violating, demoralizing and disheartening it feels when this happens to you as a small business owner.”

Many in the comments pointed to the fact that such incidents are becoming far too common in Vancouver.

“So sorry. This is happening a lot in our city,” said one user.

“Omg what’s wrong with people? Why this keeps happening?” said another.

Anywhere Vancouver has reached out to CityLux and the Vancouver Police Department for more details.
