The sweltering weather that has gripped Metro Vancouver over the past few days has forced one local store to temporarily close its doors to the public.
Downtown Vancouver’s Hudson’s Bay department store is closed today due to AC issues.
Signs posted on the store’s doors say they are closed due to “system issues”.
A separate post on X provides more details as to why the department store is closed today.
A customer presumably hoping to get some Nespresso pods from Hudson’s Bay was disappointed to travel “all the way downtown Vancouver in this heat” to find out the store is closed.
@NespressoCA it’s time to get out of the Bay and open a store in the mall. This happens several different times during the summer. Its ridiculous to travel all the way downtown vancouver in this heat and the Bay is closed. pic.twitter.com/zRqfdGXJL2

Nespresso Canada responded to the customer and said the closure was due to the store having issues with their AC system.
“We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience this situation has caused you. Please know that the Hudson’s Bay has experienced issues with the AC, and they’re working diligently to resolve this situation as soon as possible,” responded Nespresso Canada.
