Big Elf Run Vancouver 2023
Vancouver’s favorite holiday-themed run is back for another year this December. Join hundreds for the 9th annual Big Elf Run on Saturday, December 9th, 2023.
This holiday-themed run offers a 5km, 10km and 15km Big Elf run/walk beginning at 2pm. Additionally, there will be a 1km Wee Elf run/walk beginning at 1pm.

Both runs will see participants make their way through scenic Stanley Park. In addition to the run itself, participants will enjoy a DJ, an “elfie station”, prize giveaways and more!
Starting at Lumberman’s Arch, the course winds its way along paths surrounded by old oak trees before looping onto the seawall with hallmark views of Coal Harbour and the Burrard Inlet.

With few inclines, and mainly paved paths, participants are assured a beautiful and accessible run, jog or walk. Hate leaving your four-legged friend at home? Leashed dogs and strollers are both welcome to take part in the run!

The Big Elf Run will be handing out a number of awards, including best Elf-it (costume), best Elf-ie (selfie), best custom Elf name, and biggest team. A prize will even be given out for the best pet costume!
Your registration includes:
- Personalised running Bib with custom “Elf Name”
- Wooden Ornament Medal (from BC) that can be hung on your tree!

Below is the full event schedule:
- 11:45am: Run kit pickup Opens
- 12:45am: 1km warm up
- 1pm: 1km starts
- 1:30pm: 1km route closed
- 1:40pm: Awards
- 1:45pm: 5km, 10km and 15km warm up
- 2:00pm: 5km, 10km and 15km starts
- 4:00pm: Route closed
