Big Halloween Run 2024
It’s time to put on your big costumes for the inaugural Big Halloween Run!
Hosted by the Big Fun Run Series, this Halloween-themed run takes place at Olympic Village on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.
This fun community event offers a 1km dash at 6pm and a longer 5km run/walk at 7pm along Vancouver’s scenic seawall. With minimal inclines and stable pathways, everyone is assured a beautiful and accessible run, jog or walk.
The course is suitable for all ages and abilities including strollers and leashed dogs.

Each participant will receive a personalized running bib with their own custom “Halloween name” and a finishers souvenir.
There will also be entertainment throughout the event and organizers will be handing out prizes for a number of categories including best costume, best custom name, and even best pet costume!
Here is the full event schedule:
- 5:00pm: Check-in opens
- 5:45pm: 1km warm up
- 6:00pm: 1km starts
- 6:30pm: 1km route closed
- 6:45pm: Door prizing and contest announcements
- 6:50pm: 5km warm up
- 7:00pm: 5km starts
- 8:45pm: Route closed
