Big Jungle Run 2024
It’s time to spread your wings and roar as loud as possible.
The 2024 Big Jungle Run, hosted by the Big Fun Run Series, takes place at Burnaby Lake on Saturday, May 25th.
Starting on the all-weather pitch, the course winds its way along trails surrounded by green foliage.
There are 1k, 5k, and 10k runs taking place throughout the day to choose from, ensuring everyone gets a chance to pounce across the finish line.
The course is suitable for all ages and abilities including strollers and leashed dogs. With few inclines, and a mixture of gravel and trail pathways, everyone is assured a beautiful and accessible run, jog or walk.

Each participant will receive a personalized running bib with your own custom “jungle name,” an animal mask and a wooden finishers medal.
This family-friendly event will also have entertainment and will be handing out prizes for a number of categories including best costume, best selfie and even best pet costume!
Below is the full event schedule:
- 12:00pm: Check-in opens
- 12:45pm 1km warm up
- 1:00pm: 1km starts
- 1:35pm: 1km route closed
- 1:40pm: Awards (costume, social Media, name)
- 1:45pm: 5km & 10km warm up
- 2:00pm: 5km & 10km starts
- 4:00pm: Route closed
