Car Free Day Port Moody 2024
One of Port Moody’s post popular street festivals returns this August.
Car Free Day is happening on Sunday, August 18 on St. Johns Street between Queens and Moody Streets.
This FREE community street party helps promote a car-free culture and gives locals a unique opportunity to discover what their city has to offer. The streets will be filled with local businesses, musicians, delicious food, and family-friendly activities.
Over 100 community booths presented by local businesses, artisans, and non-profit groups will be placed throughout the event. The City of Port Moody’s Recreation team will also be hosting a youth lounge in the A&W parking lot!

When you work up an appetite, attendees will find a variety of food and drink options from restaurants, cafés, and food trucks. Adults can visit the Rotary Licensed Family Patio or one of three licensed patios run by St. Johns Street restaurants for a drink.
As for the little ones, the event will have mini golf, a climbing wall, an inflatable mega slide, roving entertainers, and more!
