Colour Fest 2024
There’s a massive outdoor party happening in Metro Vancouver this May to celebrate the spring festivals of Holi and Vaisakhi.
Colour Fest, a day full of play and laughter, is being held at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. The outdoor event will feature music and dance performances, a Colour Zone, multicultural food trucks, and free art activities for kids to enjoy.
In the Colour Zone, attendees will be covered in the vibrant colours of Holi and Vaisakhi. Each person in the Colour Zone will get colour packets. A DJ will sync music and play special sounds to indicate when participants should cover cover each other in coloured powder (or duck for cover).

Holi is an ancient Hindu spring festival, which signifies the triumph of good over evil.
The festival also signifies the arrival of spring, the end of winter, the blossoming of love, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships.
Colour Fest also celebrates Vaisakhi, a religious celebration that marks the spring harvest and the birth of the Khalsa order by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhism.

Colour Fest will also have artisans and vendors selling goods in their festive market area. Food trucks will be onsite serving delicious treats when you work up an appetite. Entry is free for both the market and food truck areas.
