Diwali Fest 2025
Celebrate the triumph of light over darkness with a series of fun events during Diwali Fest this October.
Each year, millions across the world celebrate Diwali, which translates to “row of lights”. The Hindu festival of lights, which falls on October 20th this year, symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.
For 2025, a lineup diverse and colourful events are being held throughout the region
This year’s festivities kicked off on October 5th in Surrey, which featured music and dance performances that transported guests to a magical palace setting.
The celebrations continue at Tsawwassen Mills on October 17th. Happening from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, this event features live music and dance performances, tasty treats, henna and more festive fun for the entire family!
The following night, the cultural festivities continue at Marine Gateway from 2pm to 5pm. Expect to see stunning musical performances and more delicious treats!

Diwali in Vancouver at the Roundhouse Community Center on October 25th wraps up this year’s festivities! From 2pm to 5pm, come enjoy classical and contemporary music and dance performances, dress in your favourite festive attire, and sip on a warm cup of chai! Organizers have collaborated with the talented Anu Chouhan to design this event’s poster artwork, which draws inspiration from the unique pink stone architecture of palaces in Jaipur.
