Earth Day Boulevard Garden Walking Tour 2024
In celebration of Earth Day, East Van Boulevard Gardens is hosting a series of walking tours, where people get the opportunity to explore the unique boulevard gardens of Mount Pleasant.
Saba Farmand’s East Van Boulevard Gardens Instagram page (eastvan_blvd_gardens), was first started to document boulevard gardens in Mount Pleasant.
It has since grown into an “environmental education and nature awareness community movement dedicated to promoting boulevard gardens”. His dedicated followers started asking about walking tours and since 2021, Saba has led these community walking tours.

So, what exactly is a boulevard garden?
Saba says a “boulevard garden” is any sort of garden that a citizen installs on the boulevard, which is the public (or city-owned)
strip of land between the road and sidewalk.
