Magic of Sunflowers at Taves Family Farms
We’re in the final full month of summer, and one Fraser Valley farm is making the most of every sun-soaked moment.
Taves Family Farms invites guests and their families to step into a sunflower wonderland full of storybook charm, and even more magic than last year.
The Magic of Sunflowers opens for the season on Thursday, August 20th and is currently expected to run until Sunday, September 6th.
As you wander through the rows of sunflowers, keep an eye out for resident gnomes Merlin and Marisol, whose whimsical home is brimming with old-world charm.
Fun farm activities
Mystical Meadow brings out the kid in everyone with a NEW 150 ft. Mystical Slide, cuddly farm animals, pedal karts, a jumping pillow, and plenty of more fun for all ages.
The Butterfly Release takes flight again this year from August 21–23 in their enchanting garden setting. Release a live butterfly and watch it flutter away, creating a magical and memorable experience for all ages.
Stop by Taves Estate Cidery to take in the beautiful surroundings while enjoying a refreshing selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ciders. Jack’o’s Java Hut will be offering coffee and snacks daily, with additional food options available on weekends.
For a cute date night idea, Sip n’ Stroll lets you experience the magic of sunflowers during golden hour. This 19+ experience takes place on August 21 and 28, with two evening time slots at 6:15pm and 7pm.
Before you head home, find your way through Merlin’s Maze and pick out some crisp apples to take home for all your fall baking (priced by the bag).

Sip n’ Stroll tickets are $30 per person and include exclusive evening access to the Magical Sunflower Garden, three sunflowers to take home, a cider taster, time with adorable farm animals, and plenty of cozy spots to enjoy golden hour.
Fun Passes (entry pass for one day to farm experiences & U-pick fields) start at $22.70 on weekdays and $25.70 on weekends.
SuperFUN Passes (hayride and entry pass for one day to farm experiences and U-pick fields) start at $28.70 on weekdays and $31.70 on weekends.
