
Movies in the Morgue 2024
You like horror movies, but have you ever watched one inside a morgue? A long-standing spooky season tradition returns to a Vancouver museum this October.
Movies in the Morgue at the Vancouver Police Museum & Archives is back for Halloween and their first “screaming” is happening on Thursday, October 3rd.
Run by the Vancouver Police Historical Society, this museum lets visitors learn about some of Vancouver’s “most exciting criminal cases and unsolved murder mysteries”.

The City Coroner’s Services and the City Analyst’s Laboratory both used to be housed here, so you know there’s something spooky about this spot.
Each Halloween, people have a chance to watch an exciting lineup of movies at the old city morgue, while the “resident ghosts watch you”.
Here are the movies being screened this year:
- October 3: The Exorcist (1973)
- October 10: The Sixth Sense (1999)
- October 17: Halloween (1978)
- October 24: Halloween (2018)
Doors open at 6pm and each movie start at 7pm.
Tickets are $18.50, which also allows you to explore the museum’s attractions before the movie starts.
