Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival 2024
One of Metro Vancouver’s most spectacular cherry blossom festivals is set to once again bloom this spring. The Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival takes places at Garry Point Park on Sunday, April 7th, 2024.
Established in 2017, this festival showcases the splendor of the 255 Akebono cherry trees in Garry Point Park.

This FREE community event brings the community together to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossom alongside the cultural richness of Japan.
Between 11 am and 4 pm, the Matsuri Tent will offer displays and demonstrations from local artisans including calligraphy, bonsai and origami, as well as the opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Head over to the Sakura Tent and experience an ikebana demonstration, and performances by taiko drummers, folk singers, and dancers.
The Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival encourages everyone from the community to come out and their Chibi-Chan Tent invites children to learn how to fold origami creatures using special Japanese paper and techniques.
Local vendors will also be at the event serving up delicious Japanese food options.
