Richmond Maritime Festival 2023
The annual Richmond Maritime Festival is set to sail into Steveston once again this August.
People are encouraged to come celebrate the city’s diverse heritage at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site on Saturday, August 26th and Sunday, August 27th, 2023.
The 8-acre National Historic Site will be open to the public and entry is free. The oldest shipyard in British Columbia will be bustling with fun activities, including live music, food trucks, artists, and a display of beautifully restored wooden boats and ships.

When you need a moment to cool down, head over to the Family Cool Down Zone. Beat the heat at The Captain’s Quarters and find some shade to play with puzzles, learn to tie knots with the Sea Scouts, or float your own cork boat in our special water feature.
Organizers are working on putting together an exciting performance schedule that’ll be shared closer to the event date.
Don’t forget to head down to the dock to admire wooden boats and ships of all kinds at this year’s festival. Visitors will see the SS Master, Gikumi, Double Eagle, and many other great boats and ships.
Pack your picnic blanket, grab some snacks, and head down to Steveston for one of Metro Vancouver’s favourite nautical celebrations.
