Steveston Salmon Festival 2024
The Steveston Salmon Festival is back this summer, including one of its most popular festivities that draws huge crowds every year.
Taking place July 1st, the festival will include the popular Canada Day parade! The event attracts about 80,000 attendees every year right in the heart of Steveston. Starting at 10am, the parade will begin at Garry Point Park and head east on Chatham Street. The parade will then move south on Third Avenue, head east on Moncton Street before ending at Railway Avenue.
One of the highlights of the festival is of course the salmon bake. Available beginning at 11am, over 1,200 pounds of salmon get grilled over large fire pits. Each meal costs $20 and comes with a dinner roll, potato salad, chips, and a drink (bottled water or soda).
There will also be a pancake breakfast available from 8am to 11am at the Steveston Community Centre parking lot (by donation, minimum of $5 per plate).

If you miss out on the salmon bake and pancake breakfast, there will be food trucks selling delicious bites and drinks throughout the day!
This year’s event will also feature a Kids Bike Parade beginning at 9:30am, live entertainment, a Japanese cultural show, kids games, a marketplace, and so much more!
