Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade 2026

The world’s largest Vaisakhi parade is set to return to Surrey this spring, with massive crowds expected as the community gathers to celebrate this significant religious festival.

The Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade returns on Saturday, April 18th, with organizers expecting more than 600,000 people to be in attendance.

The parade commemorates the founding of the Khalsa in 1699 by Guru Gobind Singh Ji (10th Sikh Guru) and a commitment to sovereignty, human rights, equality, and fairness.

The parade will begin at Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar Temple, located at 12885-85 Avenue. The parade will travel along 124th Street and turn left onto 75th Avenue. From there it’ll continue on 76th Avenue and onto 128th Street before reaching the Temple.

The parade will feature a colourful and entertaining procession of over 2500 participants representing 20 community organizations. Attendees will come across hundreds of booths sponsored by local businesses and families along the route handing out free food and treats.

Those planning to attend are strongly encouraged to walk or take public transit, as several road closures will be in effect.
