The Pumpkin Patch at Richmond Country Farms
A beloved Metro Vancouver patch is back for a another magical fall season.
The Pumpkin Patch at Richmond Country Farms is once again open to families looking for adorable farm animals, live music, and wagon rides.
Open daily until Friday, October 31st, visitors can discover pumpkins of various sizes, each one unique in its own way. Guests can enjoy tractor-drawn wagon rides past duck ponds and waterfalls on their way to the pumpkin fields, all while singing along to live music.
“The Pumpkin Patch is about more than just pumpkins — it’s a tradition and a true celebration of all the things that make autumn one of our favourite seasons down on the farm,” says Lucas of Richmond Country Farms.
“From wagon rides and corn mazes to animals, live music, and the smell of delicious food in the crisp fall air, whether you’re here with family, friends or little ones, it’s a real opportunity to make memories that last a lifetime.”

Before you head out to pick that perfect pumpkin, stop by the farm’s animal viewing area where you’ll meet horses, goats, llamas, sheep, chickens, pigs, and even Holstein cows. Plenty of Instagram-worthy spots await, from hay bales and tractors to sprawling pumpkin fields and rustic farm backdrops.
Once you return from the pumpkin fields, make sure you grab a fresh BC-grown Spartan apple as a snack to cap off your visit!
Several food trucks will also be onsite throughout the season. Enjoy fresh lemonade and warm mini donuts from Lemon Heaven and Cin City Donuts, tacos and traditional Mexican favourites, hot and melty sandwiches from the Grilled Cheese Truck, and classic festival-style hot dogs from Mr. Tubesteak.
One of the very first farm-to-table markets in the area, Richmond Country Farms has been family owned, rooted in the local community and visited by more than 10,000 guests since it opened in 1978.
School bookings are also available, making a visit to Richmond Country Farms a fun field trip idea for pre-school and elementary-aged children. Kids will be delighted by costumed entertainers like Polly Pumpkin and Strawberry Shortcake!
The pumpkin patch is open weekdays from 9am to 4pm, and on weekends and holidays from 10am to 4:30pm.
