Vancouver International Jazz Festival 2024
Summer in Vancouver wouldn’t be the same without one of its marquee annual events.
The 39th annual Vancouver International Jazz Festival returns with free and ticketed performances across the city from Friday, June 23rd to Sunday, July 2nd.
The Coastal Jazz and Blues Society has put together a stellar lineup, which includes a headlining performance by Grammy-winning rapper, advocate, and entrepreneur Killer Mike. Killer Mike is performing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on June 29th.
“This is a huge show for Coastal Jazz. Killer Mike is a significant musical voice for these times, and one of the many great artists we’re thrilled to be presenting at our Festival this June,” said Cole Schmidt and Jeremy Page, Artistic Programmers for Coastal Jazz.

Downtown Jazz will feature headliners Kassa Overall, a Grammy-nominated emcee, singer, producer and drummer, and Odario, who hosts CBC Music’s Afterdark.

Granville Island will be the hub for festival activity, with free and ticketed shows scheduled at Performance Works, Ocean Artworks and the Revue Stage. Local theatres, clubs and venues stretching to the North Shore will all come alive for 10 days of performances.
“The tail of the pandemic has lasted longer in arts and culture than any of us could have imagined. However, we were thrilled to see the returning appetite and appreciation for live music at last year’s festival,” said Nina Horvath, Executive Director, Coastal Jazz.
“We’re excited to build on that success in a way that nurtures our music scene and further connects us with the community.”
