Vancouver Pride Parade 2023

The colourful and glamorous Vancouver Pride Parade is back again this summer.

Hosted by the Vancouver Pride Society, this annual event brings out thousands of people from different backgrounds and is an opportunity to support the 2SLGBTQAI+ community.

This year, the parade has a new route and location.

The Vancouver Pride Parade will begin at the intersection of Davie Street and Denman, and will proceed down Beach Avenue and Pacific Street, where it will end at the new festival site at Concord Community Park.

“We are excited to announce this change to the parade route and festival location, and to also announce that the festival will now be two days long,” said Madison Holding, Co-Executive Director of Vancouver Pride Society.

“By moving to Concord Pacific Place and expanding the festival to two days, we are creating a more inclusive and accessible event that will accommodate a larger number of attendees”

This year’s parade is also 3.1 km long compared to 2.7 km in previous years. Over 120+ community groups, organizations, and non-profits will be participating in this year’s parade.

“We are confident that this new location will enhance the experience for everyone and will provide a platform for the community to celebrate diversity, acceptance, and inclusivity,” said Allison Dunne, Co-Executive Director.

Everyone is encouraged to wear rainbow-coloured outfits and colourful costumes.
