Vancouver Vaisakhi Parade 2024
One of the largest Sikh parades in the world is returning to Vancouver this spring. The Vancouver Vaisakhi Parade, organized by the Khalsa Diwan Society, is happening on Saturday, April 13th.
For Sikhs around the world, Vaisakhi is a religious celebration that marks the spring harvest and the birth of the Khalsa order by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhism.
The parade see colourful floats make their way through Vancouver’s streets as crowds take in the festivities. The event will also include free food cooked by community members, entertainment, and performances.
