Alex Kim’s award-winning tasting menu at Five Sails

About: Alex Kim, the Culinary Director of Glowbal Restaurant Group’s Five Sails, struck gold and claimed the crown as the nation’s top chef at the 2025 Canadian Culinary Championship in Ottawa earlier this year.

Now until March 19th, Chef Alex Kim is hosting a tasting menu showcasing the dishes that earned him the title of Canada’s Top Chef.

Bite of Burnaby

About: Get ready to discover all the delicious cuisine Burnaby has to offer. The city’s top restaurants open their doors (and kitchens) for what promises to be a memorable dining experience.

Restaurants will offer special menus, combos, and deals at set prices ranging from $10 to $60.

Taste of the Tri-Cities

About: Launched in 2021, Tri-Local’s Taste of the Tri-Cities is an annual food and drink festival designed to highlight the amazing restaurants, eateries, pubs, breweries, distilleries and cafes in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.

Vancouver Cocktail Week

About: From March 2 to 9, the fourth annual Vancouver Cocktail Week brings together people all across the hospitality industry to celebrate all things cocktail.

Signature events include Sunday Cocktail Brunch at ARC Restaurant and the Black & White Gala at Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

Ramadan Fest BC

About: Ramadan Fest BC is happening at the Cloverdale Agriplex in Surrey from Wednesday, March 5th to Sunday, March 9th, 2025. This family-friendly event is organized by Salaam Events, who hosts the BC Halal Food Fest each year in the summer, and recently put on the inaugural Halal Expo.

Attendees will get to discover delicious food offerings, local artisan vendors, light displays, and much more!

Women in Wine

About: Back for its second year, Atlas Steaks’s Women in Wine experience spotlights wines from British Columbia including La Vieux Pin’s Ava and Unsworth Pinot Noir hailing from Vancouver Island.

To celebrate women in hospitality, $10 from each Women in Wine dinner will be donated to a scholarship fund via WORTH Association. WORTH: For Women of Recreation, Tourism & Hospitality has a mission to advance women in the industry and help move the dial for equality.

“Paint Your Own Pottery” experience at Mereon Bistro

About: In collaboration with Bella Ceramica, a pottery studio in West Vancouver, Mereon is hosting a a “Paint Your Own Pottery” experience over the spring break. Each guest will receive a mug to paint while enjoying a delicious brunch.

About: Italian Kitchen is rolling out a new feature menu titled “Veneto A Morsi”. It explores the rich traditions of Northeast Italy with dishes like Housemade Candele with Whole Duck Ragu, Raviolone all’uovo con Baccala’ Mantecato e Asparagi Bianchi, and Rotolo di Coniglio alla Cacciatora
