About: Taking place from March 26 to April 28, the festival is an opportunity for people to appreciate and discover the roughly 43,000 cherry blossom trees across the city.

In addition to the trees, the festival puts on accessible public performances and exhibitions, creating a sense of community through art.

Survival of the Slowest at the Vancouver Aquarium

About: Survival of the Slowest is the Vancouver Aquarium’s newest exhibit, and families are invited to step into a world where being slow, small, or even weak can be a powerful survival strategy.

Women in Wine

About: Back for its second year, Atlas Steaks’s Women in Wine experience spotlights wines from British Columbia including La Vieux Pin’s Ava and Unsworth Pinot Noir hailing from Vancouver Island.

To celebrate women in hospitality, $10 from each Women in Wine dinner will be donated to a scholarship fund via WORTH Association. WORTH: For Women of Recreation, Tourism & Hospitality has a mission to advance women in the industry and help move the dial for equality.

Painting Trees

About: As part of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, Painting Trees invites you out for an afternoon of meditative painting to celebrate the beautiful spring flowers.

Participants will be introduced to the rich history of the trees here on the ancestral village site Sen̓áḵw (Vanier Park) as they experience some guided painting and be invited to reflect on their own individual relationships with trees in the urban landscape and beyond.
