A gas leak in Langley in the 20400 block of 72nd Avenue Tuesday morning has led to road closures in the area.

Langley RCMP say they were notified around 11:30am. Police have evacuated residents from the area.

“Our officers are currently blocking several intersections in the area along 208 St and 203 St on 72 Ave assisting the Township of Langley Fire Department,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.”

“The cause of this gas leak is still being investigated at this time and we can confirm that there are no reported injuries to anyone and affected residents are being evacuated.”
