Police have identified the man who was fatally stabbed on Granville Street last week on August 4th.
Jose Kaze, a 32-year-old Surrey resident, was stabbed near Granville and Smithe streets just before 3:30am on August 4th. He was taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

“We are still working to determine what the motive was for this murder,” says Constable Tania Visintin.
“Granville Street has a lot of vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic at all hours of the day. We believe there may be witnesses or people with video who have important information that could help us solve this crime.”
Investigators have not made any arrests at this time as the investigation continues.
Vancouver Police are asking anyone with cell phone or dash-cam video on August 4th between 2am and 4am to call investigators at 604-717-2500.
The fatal stabbing is Vancouver’s 11th homicide of the year.
