Fall is just around the corner, and Greendale Acres, a family-run farm in Chilliwack, is pulling out all the stops with a lineup of fun fall activities.
After kicking off their season with First Responder Day on September 6th, visitors can expect to enjoy a full list of family-friendly events all the way into October.
Greendale Acres
The farms’ cornucopia of immersive experiences, which includes the beloved Bee-themed Corn Maze, the Greendale Express Train, Pumpkin Patch and Pyramid and Picnic Areas, will be available during all events. Kid-centric activities that include a Jumping Pillow, Adventure Course, Ball Zone, Bubble Bar, and Pedal Cart Track will also remain open.
Apple Days (September 13 and 14)
Come out and celebrate apple season with delicious treats, live music and family friendly fun for all on September 13 and 14. The two-day celebration includes a new farm-to-glass cider crafted to showcase the best of the season’s harvest, fave painting for little folks, plenty of tractors to climb aboard, and the opportunity take photos of the Apple Market Lane!
Fairytale and Superhero Day (September 20)
Get creative and dress up as your favourite fairytale character! Kids can meet a real-life Rapunzel (11am to 12:30pm) and chat with the Amazing Spider-Man (2:30pm to 4pm). Don’t forget to test your superhero skills in an interactive obstacle course!
Pumpkin Patch Kickoff (September 27 and 28)
Their popular U-Pick Pumpkin Patch opens for the season with large pumpkin carving displays, photo ops, and Greendale’s own home-made Pumpkin Spice Coffee.
Grandparents Day (September 29 and October 4)
Grab the special grandmothers and grandfathers in your life, and bring them out for a fun-filled day at the farm. Grandparents also get free admission when accompanied by a grandchild.
Truth and Reconciliation Day (September 30)
Open from 10am to 6pm, all Indigenous community members can enjoy free admission to the farm. Events held throughout the day include a traditional Bannock Sale (11am to 4pm) and Pil’alt Canoe Family Sharing of Culture (2pm to 3pm). Partial proceeds from the day will be donated to the Memiyelhtel Indigenous Youth Mentorship Program located in Chilliwack that provides holistic, long-term and intensive support to vulnerable youth.
Princess Day at the Pumpkin Patch (October 4)
Little ones have the chance to meet and greet Cinderella in the heart of the autumn festivities from 10a, to 11:30am and 2:30pm to 4pm. Dress up as your favourite princess or fairytale characters, and enjoy a magical day at the pumpkin patch!
Thanksgiving at the Farm (October 11 to 13)
Bask in the autumnal beauty of the farm by enjoying family friendly activities and cozying up beside fires or under the spacious covered pavilion!
Halloween Parade (October 31)
Cap off fall at Greendale with a fun-filled Halloween parade! Prizes will be awarded for the most creative costumes, and there will be plenty of candy to take home.
