Greendale Acres kicks off summer with a brand-new corn maze, live music, train rides & more

In Guides by Anywhere Vancouver

The team at Greendale Acres has been hard at work behind the scenes and is ready to kick off its summer season this July!

The Fraser Valley farm opens for the season on Wednesday, July 29, debuting its brand-new GOT CORN? Corn Maze. Included with farm admission, this playful attraction celebrates one of the farm’s signature crops and the season that has become synonymous with Greendale Acres.

With pathways and hidden checkpoint, guests can wind their way through towering cornfields, searching for clues as they navigate the playful maze.

“The corn maze has always been more than an attraction for us,” says Vanessa Oddy. “It’s the moment that summer truly begins. Families return year after year, and every journey through the maze becomes part of their story. Our corn maze invites guests to unplug, explore and experience the beauty of summer together down on the farm. Here at Greendale Acres, summer isn’t just a weekend event. It’s a season to experience.”

That’s just the beginning – here’s what else awaits this summer!

The Chilliwack Corn Festival

This year, the Chilliwack Corn Festival is happening over two weekends (August 1st to 3rd and 8th to 9th). The festivities include fresh-roasted corn, live music, family activities like face painting, friendly competitions, and more!

Take part in the crowd-favourite corn-shucking and corn-eating contests (included with admission) and enjoy live music from the Petersen Duo, Johnny Bootleg Trio, Ryan McAllister, Desiree Walde and the Backroad Revival Band, and Josh Petersen.

Sundown Music Series

Happening on Saturday evenings and holiday weekends throughout August, the farm comes alive with family-friendly, fully licensed live music. Local artists and bands including the Petersen Duo, Desiree Walde and the Backroad Revival Band, Adam Cebula, Ryan McAllister and Band, Dave Faber Trio, Josh Petersen, The Rundown, and the Tanner Olsen Band will keep the music going all night long.

Flower Fields in Bloom

Throughout the summer, guests can wander through rows of vibrant seasonal blooms, pick their own bouquet of fresh flowers, and capture beautiful photos among the blossoms. In the evenings, the farm comes alive with the warm, creating a picture-perfect setting to explore.

Golden Hour Flower Workshop

Make golden hour a memorable one with a flower workshop. The workshop starts with a relaxing walk around the farm, learning about the diverse array of flowers on the property courtesy of Greendale Acres Owner and Florist Vanessa Oddy. Guests will enjoy complimentary light refreshments before gathering a bucket of freshly picked blooms and creating a beautiful floral arrangement to take home and enjoy.

The workshop takes place August 20th and 27th from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets are $45 per person.

Golden Hour Painting Workshop

As the sun sets over the farm, guests can unwind with a peaceful painting workshop surrounded by fields of vibrant blooms. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, local artist Silvana Kulyk will guide you step by step as you create your own canvas masterpiece.

Complimentary seasonal refreshments will also be provided, making it the perfect outing for nature lovers, girls’ nights, date nights, or anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting.

The workshop takes place August 20th and 27th from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets are $65 per person.

Princess Day

On August 22nd, little ones can meet Princess Rapunzel, enjoy an enchanting story time, and create their very own flower crown to wear throughout the day. Flower crown making will take place from 10:30am to 12:30pm, with Princess Rapunzel holding court from 12:30pm to 2pm.

Summer Send Off

While summer won’t last forever, the season ends with one unforgettable celebration! Over the Labour Day long weekend, guests can enjoy u-pick flowers, face painting, the corn maze, and a new summer tradition – the Watermelon Eating Competition ( daily at 12:30pm and 3:30pm).

The final weekend will also feature live music from Josh Peterson, The Rundown, the Tanner Olsen Band, and Kyler Pierce.
