More heavy rain is in store for the region today after an atmospheric river drenched Metro Vancouver Saturday.
Environment Canada says another additional 20 to 40 mm of rain is expected by this afternoon.
“A strong fall storm system has brought heavy rain to the region since Friday. Rainfall, heavy at times, will continue through this afternoon,” says environment Canada.
The fall storm has resulted in overflowing creeks, localized flooding, and numerous road closures across the region. In Coquitlam, a homeowner is reported missing after a mudslide washed away a house yesterday.
Coquitlam RCMP are advising the public of a mudslide that has closed Quarry Road between Calgary Drive and MacIntyre Road in Coquitlam.
