Police are investigating reports of gunfire that occurred in a quiet Richmond neighbourhood last month.
Richmond RCMP received reports of gunfire being overheard in the 6300 residential block of Chelmsford Street. The first incident occurred shortly after 11 pm on August 27th and the second occurred on the evening of August 29th around 10:45pm.
A vehicle, house, and garage were damaged by gunfire.

“This area is densely populated by families and community members. People walk, run, ride their bikes, and simply carry our their daily lives,” says Staff Sergeant Gene Hsieh of the Richmond Major Crime Unit.
“Having two incidents of gunfire in the same area is a major concern and significant resources are being dedicated to locate the person or persons responsible. The incidents appear targeted and this investigation is a priority for the Richmond RCMP.”
