The VPD’s Commercial Vehicle Unit issued 11 tickets (over $6600 in fines) to three illegal ride-hailing drivers in Vancouver.
The illegal ride-hailing drivers were pulled over on Wednesday with the help of Passenger Transportation Enforcement Officers.

“Today our Commercial Vehicle Unit had another successful joint operation with Passenger Transportation Enforcement Officers targeting illegal ride hail operators,” reads a tweet from the VPD’s Traffic Unit.
“Three vehicles stopped, 11 tickets (over $6600 in fines) and one tow.”
The BC Ministry of Transportation has a list of approved ride-hailing companies in BC that can be found on their website.
