55-year-old man in hospital following machete attack in Surrey

Two men have been charged with aggravated assault following an incident at a Surrey parking lot that included a machete.

On Friday, August 18th, at around 11:22pm, police received multiple reports of a “man walking around a parking lot with a machete” in the 10100-block of King George Boulevard.

The man walking around with the machete allegedly used it to hit a car and an “altercation ensued with the two occupants of the vehicle”.

When police arrived on scene, they found a 55-year-old man suffering from significant life-threatening injuries. The victim remains in hospital.

One day after the assault, police arrested 31-year-old Parminder Singh Brar and 21-year-old Simarpal Singh. Both men have been charged and remain in custody.
