Man sent to hospital after shots fired at vehicle in Surrey

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Surrey Wednesday morning.

Before 2am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of male driver in his vehicle who “sustained an injury consistent with a gun shot” at the intersection of 64 Avenue and 124th Street.

“The driver has been transported to a hospital for a non-life threatening injury,” said Sgt. Martin Neveu.

124th Street from 64th Avenue to Boundary Drive was closed for an extended period of time Wednesday morning.

“The investigation is in the early stages and police will remain on scene until such time the examination is complete.”
