UPDATE: The Expo Line medical emergency has cleared and Metrotown Station is now open

A medical emergency Thursday evening has led to major delays along the SkyTrain’s Expo Line network.
Just before 5pm, the Expo Line stopped running between Metrotown and Patterson Station due to a medical emergency. TransLink set up a bus bridge to run between Joyce, Patterson, Metrotown and Royal Oak Stations.
Just before 8pm, TransLink provided an update, saying the Expo Line is single tracking between Patterson Station and Royal Oak Station.
A number of social media posts show huge crowds of people waiting for the bus bridge.
