“Thank you always for your love and support”: Vancouver donut shop announces closure

In Food by Anywhere Vancouver

We’ve got bad news: Another Vancouver donut shop has announced its closing its doors next week.

On Tuesday morning, Mello announced on social media that their Arbutus location’s last day of serving the community will be Monday, February 17th. The closure is due to the “redevelopment of the building” they operate in.

“Many of you may have already heard the news, but this was an unavoidable situation, and we are truly heartbroken and saddened by it,” reads their post.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of our wonderful customers and loyal regulars who have supported and loved us throughout this journey.”

Mello became popular for their fresh brioche donuts that came in flavours like vanila, Nutella, and salted caramel to name just a few.

The good news is that Mello’s Chinatown location will remain open.

“This is not a goodbye—just a short farewell. We promise to return in the near future with good news, so please stay tuned!”
